History

QSI International School of Chisinau was established in 1996 as part of Quality Schools International (QSI), a non-profit organization providing English-language international education. The school served children of diplomats, international business professionals, and other expatriate families living in Moldova, and has since welcomed local Moldovan families seeking an international education. Originally located in a small facility, the school moved to a larger home in the Telecentru district in 2002 and relocated to its current campus in August 2010. A new wing opened in fall 2020, adding a spacious library, a full-service cafeteria, new classrooms, a maker space, and flexible student study areas. A major renovation in the summer of 2025 upgraded the gym, restrooms, locker rooms, and HVAC, and transformed outdoor spaces with a football pitch, volleyball court, and new playground structures, while the cafeteria was redesigned.

Community

QSI Chisinau is a member of CEESA and participates in the QSI Academic and Athletics programs, providing students with opportunities to engage in regional competitions and activities. Athletics and activities allow students to compete against local and international schools and clubs in Moldova. The Parent Support Group (PSG) coordinates educational and social events and fundraising to enrich student life.
