Admissions

Admissions

12-year program: 5 years of primary school, 4 years of middle school, 4 years of high school. Enrollment is accepted year-round. To enroll, submit an application, and a manager will contact you. Two free trial days are offered to help determine enrollment. Your child will participate in online learning in their class, attend lessons, interact with teachers and future classmates, and form an opinion about the school. To register for the free trial days, submit an application. Documents upon graduation: At the end of the 12th grade, your child will receive two documents: a school diploma and a transcript (a document containing yearly marks for 9–12 grades, earned credits, conduct, and class rating). If a student has not attended school for some time before enrollment and one or more quarters have not been attested (which would prevent annual certification), arrange assessments for all subjects not yet attested. These assessments will cover the missed knowledge. The resulting grade will be recorded in the journal. Note: this procedure is paid — 15 euros per assessment. Language of instruction: Cambridge High School, though registered in the United States, focuses on Russian-speaking children worldwide. The entire educational process is conducted in Russian. Educational program: The curriculum is based on the CIS framework, widely used in Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus. The teaching team adapts and improves subjects. Geography is taught from grades 5–7, after which it merges with economics and law into Business and Law (grades 8–9), and then evolves into Practical Entrepreneurship (grades 10–12). Programming is taught more deeply and is referred to as Programming. Russian language and literature have been merged into one subject for grades 10–12, focusing on world literature, essay writing, debates, and reasoning to foster creativity. Online learning vs Homeschool: Online learning mirrors in-person format; via Zoom, students join their class and interact with a teacher; there are classwork, homework, tests, and independent work; there are no recorded lessons, all is live. Homeschool involves home-based learning with a plan and recommended literature provided by us; the method is chosen by the family; knowledge quality is checked by final assessments conducted twice a year for grades 3–12 and once a year for grades 1–2. University admissions: The admissions consultant Ekaterina Alexandrovna will assist with university admissions, contacting chosen universities and learning their conditions, costs, required documents, and other details. Grade placement: Staff will assess new students with a placement test to determine the appropriate class level; if tests are passed, the student is advanced; if not, a recommended class is suggested; there is also an opportunity to advance a grade with high motivation and demonstrated progress. Open Day: Open Day at Cambridge High School — private Russian-language school in Bar for grades 1–7; meets the principal and teachers; Open Day on April 20, 11:00–12:30; Bar, Obala 13.Jula.
