Facilities Overview

Located at Shree Durbar Tole, Patan Dhoka, Lalitpur, the campus is verdant, refreshing, and tranquil. Classrooms are spacious, airy, and bright with age-appropriate furniture. They are designed to support hands-on experiential learning, and seating within a class is flexible to reflect planned activities. The facilities are arranged to support learning across disciplines.

Sports Facilities

Rato Bangala has a multi-sports football field with three small futsal courts and a large football field. Three basketball courts support athletic development and participation in national competitions. The tennis court introduces students to tennis and supports ongoing practice and excellence. A safe and attractive playground provides space for outdoor activity.

Academic Facilities

The library is the nerve center of the school and provides students with a curated collection of Nepali and English literature. The reading room is well-stocked with attractive, handpicked picture books for children and audio-visual facilities. The STEAM Lab is a dedicated space to encourage exploring, experimenting, and making using the principles of engineering, design thinking, coding, robotics, and technology. The school has five well-equipped science laboratories and three computer laboratories with relevant software and high-speed broadband internet connection. Three state-of-the-art Art and Design classrooms provide opportunities to explore various media, including pottery. The wood workshop is popular with students, who design and craft creative pieces.

Extra-Curricular Activities

The Kamalmani Theater is the state-of-the-art auditorium that seats 450 people and is used for lectures, theater, assemblies, conferences, and external examinations. The Audio-Visual Room accommodates up to 60 students for presentations. Two Dance Rooms provide opportunities for students to learn various dance forms. A well-equipped Music Room nurtures musical talents. The STEAM Lab and three Art and Design classrooms offer spaces for creative and technical activities beyond standard classes.

Rato Bangala School is a co-educational day school in Patan Dhoka, Nepal, that houses a teacher training institute. The curriculum progresses from Lower School through A-Levels, with Cambridge Assessment International Examinations Grades XI–XII. In early years, Language Arts are taught in Nepali and English alongside Social Studies, Science, Mathematics and Digital Literacy, with specialist teachers for ICT, Nepali, Physical Education, Visual Arts, Music, Gymnastics and Martial Arts. Chinese is taught with the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University, and Newari appears in Grade IV.
