ACG Tauranga offers the Cambridge International curriculum (IGCSE and A Levels) for Years 1–13. Cambridge subjects include Mathematics, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), English (Language and Literature), History, Geography, Spanish (from Year 5), Art & Design, Music and Physical Education. English and French are taught as part of the core language program, with an emphasis on developing critical thinking and independent learning to prepare students for higher education.
ACG Tauranga's Creative Arts program includes Performing Arts, Music, Visual Arts, Dance and a Yearbook Club. Students may audition for the annual school production, take acting classes, and support backstage roles. The music program features choir, marimba, band and chamber groups, plus individual lessons in instruments such as violin, cello, trumpet, saxophone, guitar, piano and vocals. Visual Arts offers studio work and opportunities to exhibit work in school shows.
Spanish is offered from Year 5; English is the language of instruction across the curriculum. The school emphasises its international community and provides overseas experiences such as summer camps and inter-school exchanges.
Extra-curricular life includes service and leadership opportunities, clubs and societies, and camps that help students build friendships, teamwork and resilience.
Students engage in community campaigns and volunteer initiatives, and there are opportunities to participate in Youth Parliament. The annual Senior Retreat focuses on leadership development and strengthens school culture through teamwork and responsibility.
Leadership development is a focus of the extracurricular programme, with students taking on roles of responsibility, leading teams and pursuing formal leadership opportunities. The Senior Retreat provides hands-on leadership experience for Year 12 and 13 students.
Sport is regarded as essential to wellbeing. ACG Tauranga offers a broad sports programme from Archery to Sailing, with many disciplines offered at social and competitive levels. The campus features a full-size soccer pitch, a multi-turf complex and an indoor sports facility to support a wide range of activities.
