It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Hillcrest uses an American curriculum and is open to all parents who desire a Christian school setting and who meet admissions requirements. The school has three categories of students: General, Ministry-A (children of cooperating bodies), and Ministry-B (children of affiliate status, sponsored by a cooperating body). Hillcrest accepts continuous enrollment at any time of the year, with starting at the beginning of the school year or before the second semester often easier; continuous enrollment will be reviewed to ensure the school can meet the child's academic needs. Age requirements: Kindergarten requires five years old before October 1 of the attendance year; Grade 1 requires six years old before October 1; the same process applies to higher grades, with transfers age-matched. Admission is contingent upon following the admissions procedure, the applicant passing an entrance exam and interview, space availability in the target class, and final acceptance by the Hillcrest Board of Governors. Entrance test scores, prior school records, and interviews determine the student's ability, and interviews with the appropriate grade-level admissions committee inform recommendations regarding admissions. The admissions procedure includes: (1) admissions forms going on sale before parental interviews, with a non-refundable form fee of 50,000 Nigerian Naira; required documents include two current passport photos, birth certificate, international passport, official school records for the past two years, one photocopy of all documents, and a completed current Hillcrest school medical form; (2) forms and documents due by the designated date; (3) parents may book appointments for parental interviews with the Admissions Secretary; (4) after the documents and interview, applicants are invited to sit for the entrance exams. Online admissions applications are available to start the process, with the applicant submitting the application and medical form to the Admissions Secretary as instructed.
