Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

ABQ Seeb International School was established in 2013 as part of ABQ Education Group, a private operator of Cambridge and GED international schools in Oman. The ABQ Education Group traces its roots to Azzan Bin Qais International School, founded in 1990, which ABQ acquired in 2009. The group expanded with the acquisition of ABQ Sohar International School in 2015, broadening its regional footprint. ABQ Seeb sits within a CIS- and COBIS-accredited network of ABQ international schools in Oman, reflecting its commitment to international standards. For the 2022-23 academic year, ABQ Azzan Bin Qais International School relocated to a new campus, illustrating the group's ongoing campus expansion.

Community

ABQ Seeb places Omanis values at the heart of its education and fosters a values-led learning environment. Languages taught include English and Arabic, supporting bilingual communication within a Cambridge/GED framework. The school emphasizes wellbeing and a broad range of extracurricular activities through its Discovering You Programme and associated clubs. Students participate in external programs such as a four-day Global Youth Entrepreneurship Bootcamp and the ABQ Job Shadowing Initiative, reflecting active engagement with global and local opportunities. The ABQ Year Book and school news document community events like cultural celebrations and school-wide activities, including events such as the ABQ Seeb Carnival.
