History

ABM was designated a Cambridge International Centre in Oman in 2006 and was the first in the Gulf to pilot the Cambridge International Primary Achievement Test (CIPAT) and to offer the Cambridge Primary Programme to grades 5–6. The school expanded to Cambridge lower secondary and upper secondary curricula in 2007 and 2008, with the first IGCSE class taking exams in 2008. From 2008 to 2015 it participated in Cambridge curriculum and assessment pilots. From 2016 to 2018 it was among the first 19 Cambridge international schools worldwide to pilot Cambridge Global Perspectives, which has been available for grades 3–10 since 2018. In 2022 it became a Pearson School and Edexcel Assessment Centre and began offering Pearson/Edexcel AS/A level curricula from September 2023.
