Language Provision

Language learning opportunities and multilingual education

Language Provision

Languages taught include Bangla, English, and Arabic. Bangla is a core language subject in Reception II through Class 10; English is the primary medium of instruction across most subjects. Arabic is offered as an additional language in several middle grades, notably Class 4–7. The site does not indicate any dedicated language support programs for non-native speakers beyond the bilingual arrangement.

Bilingual Teaching

Bangladesh School Muscat offers bilingual instruction in English and Bangla. English is the medium of instruction for most subjects, while Bangla is taught as a core language subject to preserve students' mother tongue. The bilingual approach is implemented across the early years and lower grades, with Bangla featured as a subject from Reception II through the middle grades as shown in the curriculum. This arrangement allows students to study in an English-language framework while maintaining Bangla language skills.
