LFIM provides a multilingual education. From kindergarten, students receive instruction in French, complemented by Arabic and English language learning. From middle school, students can begin to learn a fourth language.
The British International Section (BIS) is offered from Grade 1 to Grade 9. BIS is a bilingual and bicultural program that integrates the English-language component with the French curriculum. EMILE CLIL is used in BIS, with English delivered by a team of one English teacher and one French teacher.
EMILE CLIL is used to teach certain core subjects in English within the French program. LFIM allocates 5-6 hours of English per week: 2-3 hours of English language and 3 hours of EMILE. In middle school, 4 additional hours of English literature per week follow the Cambridge curriculum, and half of the history-geography curriculum is taught in English.
