Pakistan School Buraimi

Pakistan School Buraimi commenced in 2016 in a rented building to serve the Pakistani community in Buraimi as a branch of Pakistan School Muscat. The school offers Kindergarten and Grades 1 through 10 and has pursued academic progress despite challenges, drawing students from the Pakistani community as well as sister communities in Buraimi. The Cambridge curriculum was introduced as a significant milestone, requiring collaboration among teachers, students, and parents to adapt to a new educational paradigm. The establishment of this branch reflects the Pakistan Schools Oman network's approach to expanding access to Pakistani education within Oman.

Pakistan School Buraimi serves a diverse student body drawn from the Pakistani community and sister communities in Buraimi, creating an inclusive school community. It maintains an excellent student-to-teacher ratio to support personalized attention and emphasizes co- and extracurricular activities, as well as themed assemblies, as integral parts of school life. The Cambridge curriculum shift is described as a collaborative effort among teachers, students, and parents, reinforcing community involvement in learning. The Pakistan School Muscat network places a governance framework where a Board of Directors is elected by the Parents. Parents of satellite branches, including Buraimi, elect School Management Committees (SMCs) to participate in governance. SMCs operate under the supervision of the Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for policy making, proper management, maintenance, and control of the schools, in accordance with Oman's laws and rules. This arrangement provides a formal channel for parent involvement and oversight similar to a PTA.
