Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Pakistan School Buraimi provides an inclusive, nurturing environment within the Pakistan School Muscat network. The school runs an integrated counseling program for all students, including individual and group counseling and guidance on courses and after‑school activities. Counselors are an integral part of the educational team and support students' self‑exploration. Counselors follow International School Counselor Association (ISCA) standards in their work. The program contributes to the school's emphasis on student well‑being alongside academic progress.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The Centre for Special Education (CSE) was established in 2012 as part of the Pakistan School Muscat framework to support differently abled learners. It provides for Deaf and Mute students and is staffed by four specialist educators. The CSE serves KG to Grade 8 with tailored academic goals and includes vocational training forward by internships. Initially it started with three students and has grown to serve more learners within the Centre. This reflects a specialist SEN provision rather than general classroom support within the network.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Pakistan School Buraimi operates as an English‑medium school. Admission tests are conducted in English, alongside Mathematics, Science, and Urdu, and a workable knowledge of English is required for entry. The branch page does not publicly disclose any separate EAL program or dedicated EAL staff. English language support, beyond these admissions requirements and general instruction, is not described in publicly available materials.

Mental Wellbeing

Mental wellbeing is supported through an integrated counseling program for all students. Counseling services include individual and group sessions, classroom lessons, and guidance on course choices and after‑school activities. Counselors are an integral part of the educational team and follow ISCA standards to support self‑exploration and wellbeing. The aims are to address students' emotional and social needs alongside academic development.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding and promoting welfare are prioritized by Pakistan School Muscat, with a focus on creating safe environments and ensuring staff and volunteers share this commitment. Staff are trained to respond to safeguarding concerns and to keep up‑to‑date with policy and practice. The safeguarding approach includes staying safe in school and online and outlines clear expectations for adults working with children.
