Admissions Process

1. Caribbean International School has served Panama's international community since 1983 with a commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and global citizenship. It welcomes students from Early Childhood through 12th grade and includes more than 20 nationalities in its diverse community. The school fosters personal and academic growth. 2. How to apply: complete the inquiry form and a member of the Admissions team will contact you; for immediate assistance, use the provided contact details. 3. Schedule a meeting or on-campus tour: meet with the admissions assistant to explore CIC offerings and community. Appointments can be arranged by contacting the admissions team. 4. Process the application fee: the nonrefundable application fee is $200 for preschool or $300 for Elementary through High School per student, payable via Yappy or bank transfer. Bank transfer is to Banco General, Cuenta de Ahorro 4-11-01-906267-1. 5. Access the Admissions Platform: once the accounting department confirms receipt of payment, families receive an email with a link to access the admissions platform to complete the form with student and parent information. 6. Requirements per section: Early Childhood & Preschool require birth certificate (national or foreign), Panamanian juvenile ID (both sides) or passport, parents' ID cards or passports, health certificate, vaccination card, one passport-size photo, and any clinical reports; Elementary requires birth certificate, ID or passport, transcripts for all completed grades, a report card, conduct letter, parents' IDs, health certificate, vaccination card, photo, and immigration status; Middle & High School require birth certificate, ID or passport, transcripts to present date, a report card, a certificate of completion of Basic General Education, parents' IDs, health certificate, vaccination card, photo, and immigration status. Separate sections address Students Coming from Abroad and MEDUCA requirements. 7. Schedule tests: after documentation is in the system, a psychological test and an academic test appropriate to the level are scheduled. 8. Decision on application: after review by the Admissions Committee, the result is communicated; if accepted, proceed with the necessary payments and complete the registration, which includes reviewing policies, signing the audiovisual consent form, and finalizing the school contract.

Caribbean International School (CIC) is a private international school in Colón, Panama, licensed by MEDUCA. It offers a STEAM-based curriculum across Elementary, Middle School and High School, designed to develop critical thinking, problem-solving and creativity through student-centered, hands-on learning. The program emphasizes outdoor learning experiences and leadership development. English is the language of instruction, with Spanish as a second language and French offered to broaden multilingual skills. The Colón campus supports technology-enabled learning with a BYOTD program for grades 4–12 and Computer and STEAM Labs at all levels; classrooms are equipped with plasma or TV screens and projectors. The cafeteria provides halal options via Panther Snacks and Drinks Kiosk, with payments through the Biofood app. After-school activities include Debate Club, Press Club, Chess Club, Folklore Club and Soccer League, alongside robotics, coding competitions, science fairs and art exhibitions as part of STEAM. Graduates have entered prestigious international and national universities; the executive board is led by CIC alumni Roxana J.F. and Silvana J.F., sisters who serve as Chief Executive Officers.
