1. Complete and submit the online admission form. Submit all required documents; the application review begins only after a complete submission. The student must complete the school's assessment prior to a confirmed acceptance. The academic year runs from August through mid-June, and the admissions process can take up to 20 working days.
2. Appointment with the admissions department. After submission, an appointment with the admissions department is scheduled as part of the process. The appointment advances the evaluation of the applicant's profile and next steps. This step follows the online form submission.
3. Submit original documents. Original documents must be provided as part of the admissions process. The admissions team reviews these documents as part of evaluating the application. The submission of original documents is a required step.
4. Admission assessments. The school conducts admission assessments as part of the selection process. For students entering 2nd through 12th grade who transfer from abroad, MEDUCA validation is required and is part of the admissions process. MEDUCA validation is coordinated to ensure transfer compliance with Panama's education authority.
5. Admission letter delivery. An admission letter is delivered upon acceptance. The letter formalizes the acceptance and outlines next steps.
6. Formalization of enrollment (Payment). Enrollment is formalized when payment is made. Payment completes the enrollment process.
7. User and password for virtual platform. User and password for the virtual platform are provided after enrollment is formalized.
Coronado International School is a bilingual private school in the Coronado Beach area on a 5-hectare campus. It offers an American-based Bespoke Curriculum with a Pathways Program that offers a U.S. High School diploma and access to 18 U.S. universities. Instruction is in English and Spanish, with additional language support for multilingual learners. Preschool uses the Creative Curriculum to encourage hands-on learning; Elementary follows Common Core for English, Mathematics, and Science, emphasizing project-based learning in a STEAM studio. An inclusion program supports students with Special Educational Needs, reserving about 10% of classroom spots. In Middle and High School, students earn a Coronado International School diploma stamped by the Panama Ministry of Education after ninth grade; Pathways offers a U.S. diploma, F1 visa eligibility, streamlined admissions, and a Student Signature Experience, with direct access to partner universities. Facilities include a cafeteria, playground, and access to the Coronado Luxury Club & Suites for sports and leisure.
