The official uniform is a polo shirt with the CIS logo and khaki bottoms (skirt, pants, or Bermuda shorts). White socks are required; shoes must be black closed shoes or regular sneakers; hoodies are not allowed. A CIS cap is mandatory for outdoor activities; PE attire is a gray CIS t-shirt with the logo and regular shorts to knee length; for swimming, girls wear a one-piece swimsuit and boys wear swimming shorts.
The Coronado International School is a private school founded by Grupo Coronado. The school complies with MEDUCA guidelines. Its curriculum includes the International Common Core Standards for English, Science, and Mathematics, Calvert Education for High School, and Creative Curriculum for preschool.
Coronado International School is a bilingual private school in the Coronado Beach area on a 5-hectare campus. It offers an American-based Bespoke Curriculum with a Pathways Program that offers a U.S. High School diploma and access to 18 U.S. universities. Instruction is in English and Spanish, with additional language support for multilingual learners. Preschool uses the Creative Curriculum to encourage hands-on learning; Elementary follows Common Core for English, Mathematics, and Science, emphasizing project-based learning in a STEAM studio. An inclusion program supports students with Special Educational Needs, reserving about 10% of classroom spots.
