The CIS campus is located in the Coronado Area on the west side of Panama City, surrounded by a green forest and offering an ocean view. The area includes a country club, a golf course, a mall, and other leisure amenities. Families can access the Coronado Luxury Club & Suites facilities, including a tennis court, pool, restaurants, gym, spa, and Beach Club. The campus also features a cafeteria and a playground area for students.
Sports facilities include a synthetic football field and an area for psychomotor exercises, with access to the sports facilities of Coronado Luxury Club & Suites. The Luxury Club & Suites facilities include a tennis court, a swimming pool, restaurants, a gym, a spa, and a Beach Club.
The Preschool uses Creative Curriculum. The Elementary curriculum follows the Common Core Guidelines for English, Mathematics, and Science, with learning that embraces different ways of learning and diverse cultural perspectives. The school emphasizes project-based learning in a STEAM studio environment and provides Labster virtual laboratories for interactive practice before hands-on labs. The language of instruction is English. The Pathways Program offers online programs and services to help international students reach their academic goals, with partnerships that provide access to universities; it includes Hudson Global Scholars and Calvert Preparatory School.
CIS offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities from Monday to Friday, directed by teachers and qualified professionals, spanning artistic, sports and academic programs. Throughout the year, sports, social events, donations, and environmental conservation events promote community and solidarity. Coronado International School is a bilingual private school in the Coronado Beach area on a 5-hectare campus. It offers an American-based Bespoke Curriculum with a Pathways Program that offers a U.S. High School diploma and access to 18 U.S. universities. Instruction is in English and Spanish, with additional language support for multilingual learners. Preschool uses the Creative Curriculum to encourage hands-on learning; Elementary follows Common Core for English, Mathematics, and Science, emphasizing project-based learning in a STEAM studio.
