The school provides individualized support to assist students in their personal learning process when needed due to learning difficulties or other interferences. This support leads to increased motivation, higher resilience, and the acquisition of learning strategies, resulting in improved performance. The team delivers this support in collaboration with teachers, parents, external specialists when necessary, and the student who takes responsibility for their own learning. The team works closely with class teachers to coordinate progress. The school is committed to supporting young people in their personal development and seeks maximum collaboration with guardians, recognizing that parent engagement motivates students.
The school offers a fully bilingual environment in which students learn German, English, and optionally French. Most subjects are taught in German, enabling many students to reach a level close to native proficiency. English instruction is a fixed part of the curriculum and is mandatory from the 5th grade. Mastery of German helps learners acquire English more easily, and the majority achieve a level that enables study abroad with ease.
The school provides access to the Student Counseling and Support System, welcoming families to its page dedicated to student support. The school maintains a comprehensive Notfallplanung (emergency planning) that outlines safety policies to ensure a secure environment for students, staff, parents, and visitors. The plan emphasizes a safe infrastructure, proper signage, equipment, drills, and training, and anticipates emergencies with a tiered response system. It covers natural and man-made emergencies across the entire campus and operates around the clock, year-round. The plan defines emergency levels I–III and provides concrete steps for contacting authorities (e.g., emergency numbers) and coordinating response. The safety and health contact for the workplace is Ramón Jacobo (rjacobo@humboldt.edu.pe).
