Facilities Overview

GIS is located at Kapitańska 37, Gdynia, housing both Preschool (ages 2.5–6) and Primary School on a single campus. The classes are conducted in English by qualified teachers. The teaching programme follows the British National Programme and meets the requirements of the Polish Ministry of Education. The educational program is stimulating and holistic, encouraging development across personal skills. GIS participates in the education program 'Gdynia na fali' and welcomes students from about 30 countries.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Extracurricular activities include Little Sportsmen Club, Sensory in Motion, Judo, Chess Club, Theatre of Emotions, Spanish Club and Lego-Robotics. The weekly plan includes phonetics, reading and writing, math, gymnastics, music and dance. The Preschool is English-speaking and supports language development through these activities. Spanish language learning is integrated through the Spanish Club and other clubs that broaden academic and social skills.

Gdynia International School (GIS) provides an English-language international education for children aged 3 to 14. The campus at 37 Kapitańska Street, Gdynia, houses both GIS Preschool and GIS Primary School. GIS Preschool has operated since 2013 and GIS Primary School since September 2021. The programme follows the British National Curriculum (Cambridge for Primary) and meets Poland's Ministry of Education (MEN) requirements, ensuring alignment with international standards and local regulations. English is used in lessons and day-to-day communication, creating an international environment and supporting bilingual development. GIS serves international and Polish families and welcomes students from about 30 countries, reflecting intercultural diversity. The school emphasizes intercultural diversity and aims to develop compassionate, responsible citizenship. Extracurricular activities include sports, arts and clubs such as Chess, Lego-Robotics, and Spanish Club. The founder and lead educator is Kevin D'Arcy, guiding a program that integrates intercultural experiences with a family-friendly campus culture across the globe.
