Academic and Intellectual

The school has Cambridge International Curriculum for the International Section, which is accredited by the Romanian Ministry of Education and listed in ARACIP's Special Register as a Cambridge International School. The national section offers the Romanian National Curriculum, authorized since 2020 to provide education from kindergarten to high school. Starting with the academic year 2023-2024, IMSB implements the International Maarif Programme Curriculum for preschool education, approved and accredited by the Romanian Ministry of Education and ARACIP in January 2023. Graduates who studied Cambridge International Curriculum or the International Maarif Curriculum have their diplomas equivalated by the Romanian Ministry of Education through CNRED.

Arts and Creative

MISB students are engaged in learning and are fortunate to have opportunities to pursue activities in the areas of sports, music and arts. After School programmes include arts activities that introduce students to an artistic environment and provide opportunities to express their imagination and creativity, building confidence and dexterity. Music clubs offer piano playing individually and in groups using national and international teaching materials. Drama or storytelling clubs enable expression in Turkish, Romanian, and English.

Cultural and Language

Apart from English, the students can learn other languages such as Turkish, Romanian, French and Arabic. The International section uses English as the language of instruction. Foreign Languages Rooms accommodate Arabic, Turkish and French. After School languages activities include drama or storytelling in Turkish, Romanian, and English. Social and cultural activities include musical performances, theatrical performances, poetry performances, and other cultural events.

Social and Hobbies

The After School programme offers a broad range of clubs, including sports, arts, languages, cooking, debate, dance, and fashion, with activities organized to suit different age groups. Clubs foster teamwork, creativity, and social interaction, and are designed to meet the interests and needs of the students. The Music Club provides piano instruction for individuals and groups, and other clubs include drama, storytelling, and dance to enhance social and creative engagement.

Community and Service

The school aims to provide students with the skills and values to be good citizens who contribute to their community. IMSB emphasizes becoming active, principled global citizens with an open admission approach irrespective of nationality, ethnicity, or background.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

The campus is located on a three-hectare site in Voluntari, with modern classrooms and indoor facilities including a gym, library, science laboratories, and language rooms for Arabic, Turkish and French, plus study rooms with digital technology. Outdoor spaces include a large gymnasium, an all-weather football pitch and three basketball courts. The After School programme offers sports and arts clubs to support students' wellbeing and holistic development.

MISB is a private, co‑educational school on a three‑hectare campus in Voluntari, northeast of Bucharest, serving ages 3 to 18. It runs three curriculum streams: the Romanian National Curriculum in the National Sections; the Cambridge Curriculum in the International Sections (IGCSE in Grades 9–10 and A Levels in Grades 11–12); and the International Maarif Programme for preschool, authorized by the Romanian Ministry of Education and ARACIP.
