Introduction

British International School Moscow – School 5 is part of BIS Moscow, a six-campus international community in Moscow. Situated at 35A Nakhimovskiy Prospekt, it serves students aged 7 to 18 within two parallel programmes: the International Programme and the Russian Programme. The International Programme follows the English National Curriculum, with Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge A Levels offered as pre-university qualifications, and all subjects taught in English by teachers from the UK and other English‑speaking countries. EAL support helps learners at different language stages, and class sizes average 15 students (no more than 20). The Russian Programme (Federal State Educational Standards) runs alongside, with in‑depth English study delivered by native speakers. Facilities include an equipped gym, a modern library, dedicated music and art spaces, and a secure outdoor play area. Cambridge International Centre accreditation and state licences reinforce its 1994 founding and its range of clubs and after-school activities.

- For international-programme fees expressed in EUR, the amount payable under the Contract is determined in Russian roubles using the Central Bank of Russia exchange rate on the day of payment; if that day's EUR→RUB rate is less than 96 ₽, the payment is calculated at a minimum rate of 96 ₽ per EUR.
- The school can require an advance payment and may apply a 5% penalty on late payments; the school may suspend access to classes or terminate the contract for overdue payment.

Boarding
- Boarding is not offered; the school operates as a day school (school facilities, extended day group and school buses are provided).

Refunds and withdrawal rules

Written notice of withdrawal must be provided at least 50 calendar days before the end of the current academic period.
- Absence from classes for illness or other personal reasons is not a basis for fee reduction or refund. The school does not revise fees or refund payments where classes are suspended for public health reasons; no refund is provided in such circumstances.

Fee payment methods & practical notes
- Payments are accepted in Russian roubles to the school's cash desk or by bank transfer to the school's account; bank transfer charges are borne by the payer. Admissions

Admissions

Step 1. Free consultation. Free consultation is available Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 18:00. Parents can seek advice and ask questions during this session. Telephone numbers are +7 (495) 987-44-86 and +7 (495) 426-03-11. This initial step begins the admission process and helps families understand the requirements. Step 2. Personal meeting and School tour. A personal meeting and school tour provide information about the educational process and allow the family to experience the learning environment. This helps assess fit and enables questions about programmes to be answered. Scheduling can be arranged when contacting the admissions team. Step 3. Free trial day. Students take an individual test to measure the general level of development for preschool education; for Year 1, the test measures preparation to start school; for Years 2–11, the test measures the level of academic excellence. The trial day informs placement decisions and demonstrates readiness for admission. Step 4. School enrolment. Based on the recommendations and the results of the tests, the admission decision is made and information about the admission is sent. Families receive formal notification of the decision and next steps. Step 5. The signing of a contract and its payment. Enrollment is finalized through the signing of a contract and the completion of payment according to the terms set out.
