The Support Services determine a baseline level for each child, from which targets are set in a language learning plan. EAL support may be provided in small groups several times a week while students remain in a language-rich classroom. Teaching staff differentiate and use Universal Design for Learning to cater for speakers of other languages in the mainstream classroom.
