Science labs are well-stocked with Physics, Biology and Chemistry facilities; the labs are safe, spacious and well equipped. Each laboratory accommodates about 20 to 30 pupils per sitting and features a smart-board. The library promotes literacy and provides resources for two curricula; it is well organized, well stocked with textbooks, reference books, fiction, and magazines, and subscribes to daily newspapers, journals and other publications. ICT labs include two computer labs with more than 50 computers in each, with training on MS Office, Web Designing, Visual Basic, and Oracle, to support learning across subjects.

Societies are student groups who meet to take part in an activity or shared interest. Riviera has over 20 student-run clubs and societies, and students can start their own by emailing boarding@rivierahighschool.org. The clubs cover topics from media to business and politics to poetry, and the school provides excellent facilities for music and visual arts to support creative development.
Riviera High School is a modern mixed boarding school in Kabuga, Rusororo District. It offers Cambridge International programs alongside REB and BTEC qualifications, with a September–June term. Cambridge runs from Lower Secondary (Year 8–9) to Upper Secondary (Year 10–11, IGCSE) and Advanced Level (Year 12–13), covering English, German, French, Mathematics, Sciences and Humanities; Cambridge examinations earn Cambridge International certificates. The BTEC pathway emphasizes skills-based learning, offering Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business and Level 2 Diploma in Business, described as equivalent to three A‑Levels. The REB curriculum provides O‑Level and A‑Level routes (Senior 1–3, Senior 4–6) with languages including German and French, and Science (PCM/PCB) and Arts (HLP/HGL). The school promotes a learner-centered approach with counselling and core values of Honor, Integrity, Loyalty and Respect under Principal Muthee Daniel M.
