The school uses Montessori multi-age groupings rather than a traditional house system. Children are grouped in age cohorts: 2-3, 3-6, 6-9 and 9-12.
In June 2023, the Braeburn Group of International Schools took ownership of The Earth School. Braeburn is an established group of international schools in East Africa.
The Earth School is the International Montessori School of Rwanda, located in Kigali. Now part of the Braeburn Group of International Schools (since June 2023), it offers a creative, experiential and transformative education for children aged 2 to 12. The school follows an authentic Montessori approach with bilingual English and French instruction, small class groups of 12 children, and a state-of-the-art campus designed for hands-on learning. It is accredited by the International Schools Association (ISA).
