International Bilingual School Dakar is a private school established in 2009 and located in Liberté 6 Extension, Dakar, near VDN highway. It serves over 200 students from kindergarten through high school and offers bilingual education based on the Senegalese curriculum enriched with elements of British and American programs. The curriculum leads to SAT and IGCSE examinations. The school operates in three sections—preschool, primary and college—with four preschool classes, six primary classes and seven secondary classes, and class sizes limited to 25, each guided by a qualified teacher and an assistant. Facilities include ventilated classrooms, a computer lab, an arts studio and play areas. A distinctive feature is bilingualism in French and English, with English study extended to CE2 and a British Council Connecting Classrooms partnership with Newtown Primary School in Exeter to foster global citizenship. IBS is authorized by the Ministry of National Education since January 2015 for all students today.
