French is the core language of instruction and is complemented by learning other living languages to form multilingual students open to the world. In addition to French, English, German and Spanish are taught. The school offers the American International Section, the Sections Internationales (SI) and the French International Baccalaureate (BFI), continuing SI pathways and exposing students to many languages and cultures. It also offers a Spanish LCE option (LCE espagnol) in 4ème and 3ème, a DNL in Spanish, and Latin as an elective (from 5ème to Terminale).

The PARLE Anglais program offers an extra hour of English practice from 5ème to 3ème, integrated into other disciplines. The English-language European Section (section européenne Anglais) from 2nde to Terminale provides two extra hours per week: one hour of language reinforcement and one hour of DNL taught in English.
Lyce Français Jean Mermoz in Senegal is a directly managed AEFE French international school serving students aged 6 to 18 (from CP to Terminale). It follows the official French curriculum, with a Section Internationale Américaine (SIA) integrated across the program and preparing students for the Baccalauréat Français International. The school provides multilingual education, with instruction in French and additional languages including English, Spanish and German. Parle Anglais is offered in the middle years, and the lycée includes a European English section with a DNL option. Optional offerings include a Théâtre option, Latin, and a range of specialty subjects in Première and Terminale for general and technological tracks. Complementary programs include Prépa Scientifique, Prépa Sciences Po Paris and Prépa Arts. Established in 1976 and AEFE-managed since 1990, the campus accommodates about 2,500 students on a securely designed site with substantial sports facilities. The school is homologated by the French Ministry of National Education. A hallmark is the bilingual SIA pathway alongside strong language, theatre and arts programs.
