Academic and Intellectual

Chartwell participates in the STEM Science Olympiad. A group of Year 10–12 students will represent Chartwell at the STEM Science Olympiad in February 2026. The competition develops teamwork, creativity and critical thinking through real-world scientific challenges. They continue preparations through workshops, experiments and teacher-led mentoring.

Arts and Creative

Chartwell runs a music and drama program. Students can join the choir or accompany the choir if they play an instrument or perform solo. Drama builds confidence and social skills and supports cross-curricular learning. Poetry Night is held each year, with poetry in different languages and performances by the Chartwell Secondary Choir.

Cultural and Language

Poetry Night is held each year with poetry in multiple languages and choir performances. World Book Day is celebrated at Chartwell with reading activities and language-rich celebrations. Saint Sava Day is celebrated through words, art, and history within History, Art and Serbian language classes.

Community and Service

Upper Secondary students organized a Christmas Charity Bazaar. Chartwell Wellbeing Ambassadors led the UnfinishEDU charity event at Dorćol Platz, as part of ecological literacy initiatives. The UnfinishEDU project focuses on developing ecological literacy through project-based learning.

Leadership and Professional

Wellbeing Ambassadors are trained to promote kindness, connection and positive mental health within the school. Peer-Led Learning in Action showcases upper students teaching lower-level classes, developing leadership and mentoring skills. Chartwell participates in the STEM Science Olympiad, highlighting student leadership in science and competition readiness.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Physical education contributes to the physical, emotional, social, creative, aesthetic and cognitive development of the whole child, with a broad range of movement activities. Chartwell's campus has covered facilities for volleyball, basketball, football and badminton, plus a gym equipped for gymnastics. Every year, Lower Secondary students enjoy a sports day at Ada, and there are dodgeball and volleyball tournaments for the Lower and Upper Secondary levels. Residential school trips, including ski trips, add outdoor learning experiences.

Chartwell International School Belgrade operates across campuses: Lower Secondary at Uzicka 48a and Upper Secondary at Aleksandra Stamboliskog 21, serving students 2 to 18. The school follows British National Curriculum and offers Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge International AS Levels and Cambridge A Levels, within the Cambridge framework and recognized by the Serbian Ministry of Education. Established in 1998, it was the first Belgrade school to offer the British curriculum and is accredited as an international school and Cambridge examination centre, educating over 1,000 pupils from around 60 nationalities with about 180 staff. Facilities at Lower Secondary include a science lab, music room, art room, ICT, media room, language and maths spaces, plus sports fields. Upper Secondary spans 2,250 m with IT and science labs, an art room, library, study hall, dining area and sports facilities. Extracurriculars include STEM Science Olympiad participation, a music and drama program, and poetry and multilingual events.
