Chartwell International School uses the Cambridge Primary Curriculum, based on the British National Curriculum. Cambridge Primary is designed for the first six years of schooling (Year 1–Year 6) and is organized into six stages. All subjects are taught in English, with a core focus on English, Mathematics and Science. The Cambridge Primary Programme supports learning progression toward Cambridge Secondary 1, and the school is accredited by Cambridge as an international school and examination center, and by the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.
Chartwell has a music and drama program with highly qualified teachers that help students express themselves confidently. The music curriculum emphasizes performing, composing and listening, with opportunities to join the choir or perform solo. Drama develops confidence and social skills, and Poetry Night showcases performances in multiple languages.
An ESL program exists in both Primary and Secondary designed to meet the needs of students whose English may hinder progress. ESL support is provided in small groups and follows the Cambridge Primary English as a Second Language curriculum. The school also hosts multilingual cultural events such as Poetry Night in different languages.
After-school clubs are organized daily, including Football Club, Basketball Club, Badminton Club, Zumba Dance and Drama Club. Clubs support physical development, teamwork and social interaction.
Chartwell emphasizes community service with students participating in fundraising activities and workshops to help those in need. Students have organized events such as Christmas parties and bake sales to support beneficiaries, and have raised funds for local causes.
The Advisory Board guides the strategic direction and ongoing development of Chartwell. Students also participate in competitive opportunities such as the STEM Science Olympiad, representing Chartwell in February 2026.
Physical education contributes to the physical, emotional, social, creative and cognitive development of the whole child. The PE program offers a broad range of movement activities, with progress through the years, and the campus features a gym and an outside sports field for diverse activities. Wellbeing initiatives include Wellbeing Ambassadors and participation in charitable events to promote a healthy school community.

The campus network comprises seven buildings in a quiet residential area, with park-like gardens, spaces for study and activities, and on-site sport fields. Upper Secondary premises include 21 classrooms, IT and science labs, an art classroom, a library, a study hall and a dining area. The Performing Arts programme, residential and school trips, charity events and a Green School nature-based campus on Ada Ciganlija shape Chartwell's extracurricular offering.
