History

Chartwell International School has been successfully operating in Belgrade for 25 years. It was the first school in Belgrade to offer the British National Curriculum. It is accredited as an international school and examination center by the University of Cambridge and recognized by the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. Since 1998, when it opened, Chartwell has grown from a Foundation and Primary with about 16 students and 9 staff to a school serving children from age 2 to 18, numbering over 1000 students of 60 nationalities and about 180 staff.

Community

Chartwell fosters a school community with events across Pre-School to Upper Secondary. It participates in charity events as part of the UnfinishEDU project with Green School by Chartwell. United Nations Day is celebrated with activities across the school, and field trips include visits to the Botanical Garden in Belgrade.

Chartwell International School operates across several Belgrade campuses, delivering education for ages 2 to 18. It provides the British National Curriculum, including Cambridge Primary, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge International AS Levels and Cambridge A Levels, and teaches six languages. The school has operated for 25 years and was the first in Belgrade to offer the British National Curriculum. It is accredited by Cambridge as an international school and examination center and is recognised by the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. The campus network comprises seven buildings in a quiet residential area, with park-like gardens, spaces for study and activities, and on-site sport fields. Upper Secondary premises include 21 classrooms, IT and science labs, an art classroom, a library, a study hall and a dining area. The Performing Arts programme, residential and school trips, charity events and a Green School nature-based campus on Ada Ciganlija shape Chartwell's extracurricular offering.
