From 2018, all new international students residing in Singapore without parental supervision must commit to staying in Oldham Hall or ACS (Independent) Boarding School for a minimum of one year. Both hostels accommodate students from other ACS schools and offer modern facilities. A limited number of homestays with private families approved by the school are available through the International Pastoral Coordinator.
The full school uniform must be worn with the school badge at all times. No coloured undershirts under the uniform; boys' white shirt must be tucked in; trousers must be full-length and not tapered; girls' skirt length must be within 6 cm above the knee. The polo shirt may be worn on non-Chapel days; PE kit is required for PE; uniform items can be purchased from Pacific Book Store and Bibi&Baba.
Lunch is provided at school via the canteen. Junior School Lunch runs from 10:55am to 11:45am, with Senior School Lunch scheduled around midday during the day.
The House System is the cornerstone of the school's pastoral network. Each student is allocated to one of eight Houses led by the Head of House and House Tutors, with about 130 students per House. Inter-House activities and the House Cup run throughout the year.
ACS (International) is owned and operated by the Methodist Church in Singapore. The Board of Management oversees governance and management, with a Chairman who concurrently serves as Supervisor; the BOM consists of three Governors, three Methodist Church nominees, and four community-nominated members, and it oversees Finance, Audit, and HR. The Principal leads day-to-day operations and reports to the BOM.
ACS International Elementary in Singapore delivers the Cambridge Primary curriculum and provides a pathway to Cambridge IGCSE and IB DP, preparing students for the future. The program begins with Year 1 and 2, where Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, English and a Mother Tongue or Foreign Language form the core, with English aligned to IGCSE First Language English and IB English A: Language & Literature. Mother Tongue options include Chinese, Malay and Tamil; Foreign Languages include French, Mandarin and Spanish. Integrated Humanities blends History, Geography and Religious Studies, supported by the Approaches To Learning and inquiry-based units. End-of-Year Examinations occur in October/November and MOE-approved textbooks guide assessments. The campus at Holland Village features science labs, a Music Centre, a library, theatres, and sport facilities including a sports hall, Astroturf football and tennis courts. The school upholds Christian values through Chapel Services and a service ethos, with a community of over 30 nationalities.
