Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
1. Application submission
Families begin the process by completing the online application form available on the school’s website. Applications are only accepted in this format. A child’s place in the process is formally acknowledged once the form and all required documents have been received.
2. Offer and invoice
If a place is available, the school issues an invoice for the registration fee, deposit, and the first month’s fees. Parents should be aware that enrolment is not confirmed until payment is received in full and all necessary documents are submitted.
3. Confirmation of enrolment
Once payment and paperwork are complete, the school confirms the child’s place in writing. Enrolment contracts include the school’s Terms and Conditions, covering matters such as withdrawal notice periods, deposit refunds, and late payment interest charges.
4. Starting dates
Children are admitted on either the 1st or 16th of the month. The school follows age guidelines set as of 1 January of the enrolment year, which determines the child’s programme placement.
If a programme is full, children are placed on a waiting list. Priority is given to siblings of current students, transfers between Blue House campuses, alumni, and siblings of alumni. Applications are accepted throughout the year and considered equally.
The school does not publish any information regarding scholarships or financial aid.
Blue House International’s River Valley (Jalan Mutiara) campus serves children 18 months–6 years in a homelike, two-storey setting near Great World City and Fort Canning Hill. The school is Reggio Emilia–inspired, with an emergent, bilingual Mandarin–English curriculum delivered by Mandarin and English educators working together. Children learn in curated indoor and outdoor Ateliers and Piazzas, with published educator-to-child ratios from 1:6 (Playgroup) to 1:10 (Kindergarten). Programmes run half-day or full-day, and 2025 fees are S$1,915–S$2,308 per month before GST. The campus connects with the wider Blue House community’s specialist offerings such as Discover Music and resident artist collaborations. Daily routines, naps, and meals are flexibly arranged in consultation with families. The academic calendar highlights closure days, celebration days, and parent events specific to Jalan Mutiara.
