Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

Application submission
Families begin by submitting an application form through the school’s admissions office. Upon application and subsequent enrolment, parents are required to agree to the school’s published Terms and Conditions. The age placement of children is determined according to their age on 1 January of the current year.

2. Offer and acceptance
When a place is available, the school issues a formal offer. To secure the place, parents must complete and return the acceptance form, together with payment of the Registration Fee (SGD 300), the Deposit (one month’s full-day fee), and the first month’s tuition fee. Enrolment is confirmed only once both the required fees and documents have been received.

3. Start date and transition
Children usually begin on either the 1st or 16th of the month. The school notes that these dates are set to allow for a smooth transition into the classroom community. Educators work with families to establish routines that ease children into their new environment.

Blue House International – Tanglin (Kay Siang Road) is a preschool for children 18 months to 6 years set in a black-and-white bungalow near Tanglin Road, with gardens and a Community Park used daily for learning. The campus follows a Reggio Emilia–inspired, bilingual (English–Mandarin) emergent curriculum, with English and Mandarin educators collaborating along children’s lines of inquiry. Published educator-to-child ratios range from 1:6 in Playgroup to 1:10 in Kindergarten, and the day includes indoor ateliers, a mud kitchen, a library and shared piazza spaces. Families can opt for Half Day or Full Day programmes; the school partners with BusTech Pte Ltd for bus services. A signature feature at Tanglin is the “Atelier Under the Sky”—an outdoor classroom that blends Reggio practice with forest-school elements in the adjacent park. Optional Discover Classes with specialist educators in Art, Music and Mandarin extend children’s interests across the week.
