Blue House Tanglin is housed in a colonial-style back-and-white bungalow near Tanglin Road, with gardens and a Community Park accessible to children for foraging, vine-swinging, games and picnics. The first floor is dedicated to the under-3s programme, while older children use the second floor, which includes the Garden Atelier, a piazza, the mud kitchen and a library. The environment supports discovery and sensorial exploration in a sustainable, natural setting. Atelier Under the Sky is an outdoor classroom in the Community Park that blends forest-school elements with Reggio Emilia inspired practice.
The Tanglin campus welcomes children from 18 months to 6 years and follows an unhurried, hands-on learning approach that emphasises relationships and inquiry. Learning spaces include the Garden Atelier, piazza, mud kitchen and library, with the Community Park used for outdoor learning. Atelier Under the Sky extends the educational environment into the park as an outdoor classroom with forest-school elements. Educator-to-child ratios are 1:6 for Playgroup, 1:7 for Nursery 1, 1:8 for Nursery 2, and 1:10 for Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2, supporting small-group interaction and individual attention. The programme foregrounds the Hundred Languages of expression and a child-centred, emergent curriculum.
Blue House International – Tanglin (Kay Siang Road) is a preschool for children 18 months to 6 years set in a black-and-white bungalow near Tanglin Road, with gardens and a Community Park used daily for learning. The campus follows a Reggio Emilia–inspired, bilingual (English–Mandarin) emergent curriculum, with English and Mandarin educators collaborating along children’s lines of inquiry. Published educator-to-child ratios range from 1:6 in Playgroup to 1:10 in Kindergarten, and the day includes indoor ateliers, a mud kitchen, a library and shared piazza spaces. Families can opt for Half Day or Full Day programmes; the school partners with BusTech Pte Ltd for bus services. A signature feature at Tanglin is the “Atelier Under the Sky”—an outdoor classroom that blends Reggio practice with forest-school elements in the adjacent park. Optional Discover Classes with specialist educators in Art, Music and Mandarin extend children’s interests across the week.
