Brighton Montessori began in 1995 as a humble enrichment centre founded by Connie Cho to provide quality preschool education. From that start, it expanded into a network of eight preschools island-wide. The business was formalised as Brighton Montessori Centres Pte. Ltd., registered on 3 June 2010, reflecting its corporate structure. The founder describes Brighton Montessori as being built on a mother's heart, with a focus on an individualised, Montessori-based approach. Mountbatten is one of eight Brighton Montessori centres currently operating in Singapore.
Brighton Montessori emphasises a strong partnership with parents and ongoing communication between families and educators. Festival weeks celebrate Singapore's cultures and languages, integrating local heritage into the curriculum. Families participate in excursions and other family-focused activities, and the centres host events to build a sense of community. Open houses and centre visits are regularly held for prospective and current families.
Brighton Montessori @ Mountbatten caters to children aged 18 months to 6 years, offering programs from Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten 2. The school follows the Montessori curriculum, emphasizing hands-on learning and individualized teaching approaches in areas such as Phonics and Mathematics.
