Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Brighton Montessori began from a mother's heart when founder Connie Cho established it as a small enrichment centre in 1995. From that start, the network has grown to eight preschool centres island-wide in Singapore. Brighton Montessori operates as Brighton Montessori by Busy Bees, with a head office that supports all centres. The Sunset Way campus is a spacious, well-equipped West Centre featuring its own music studio, and it sits at 41 Sunset Way

02-01/02 and 42 Sunset Way 02-03/04 Clementi Arcade.

Community

Brighton Montessori emphasises strong parent collaboration and open-door communication, with educators observing and evaluating each child's progress alongside families. The centres host family-facing events such as Open Houses at Sunset Way and Hillview, inviting parents to tour the classrooms and learn about Montessori approaches. Public event listings and press coverage indicate ongoing community events and parent engagement, including Grassroots' Club Open Day and Sunset Way Open House.

Parent-Teacher Association

Brighton Montessori does not publish a formal Parent Teacher Association; instead, parent involvement is described through a dedicated parent partnership and open-door communications with staff. The school emphasises ongoing parent collaboration, with educators observing and evaluating each child's progress in partnership with families. Open Houses and other family events are regularly offered at Sunset Way and other campuses to engage parents in learning about the Montessori approach. A Parent Referral Programme for 2025 provides incentives for both referring and referred families, reflecting active parent involvement in enrollment. Public pages also feature a 'Parent Testimonials' section, illustrating ongoing parent feedback and engagement with the school. Past events listed by community directories include Brighton Montessori Sunset Way Open House, River Valley Open Day, and Grassroots' Club Open Day, underscoring a pattern of family-centered activities.
