Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school incorporates values-based education as part of its proprietary C.O.V.E. approach. This focuses on nurturing children to be caring, confident, creative, curious, and competent. These values are woven into daily activities and the overall classroom environment. However, the website does not publish details of a standalone SEL programme, staff dedicated to SEL, or structured initiatives beyond this framework.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The school does not publicly disclose information regarding Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

The school does not publicly disclose information regarding EAL provision. While English and Chinese are both used in K1–K2 current-affairs sessions, there is no evidence of a structured programme to support children who are learning English as an additional language.

Mental Wellbeing

The school does not publicly disclose information regarding mental well-being support.

Safeguarding

The school does not publicly disclose information regarding safeguarding or child protection policies.

Children’s Cove Preschool (Novena) is located at 11 Akyab Road in a quiet pocket near Orchard Road. The campus is described as a heritage house with a sprawling garden, giving children daily access to outdoor learning spaces. Programmes span infant care (2–18 months) through kindergarten (K1–K2), guided by Children’s Cove’s proprietary Building Block and Exploration Zone within the C.O.V.E. approach. For older preschoolers, weekly English and Chinese current-affairs reading and discussion are part of the curriculum. Network initiatives include “From Farm to Table,” an ECDA-supported programme that brings gardening and cookery into the timetable to build nutrition awareness and hands-on learning. The school has multiple locations across Singapore and invites families to book a school tour or attend events to see classrooms and outdoor areas in action.
