Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Established in 2004, DPS International School (DPSIS) was founded to meet the educational needs of the Indian expatriate community in Singapore, blending the best practices of Indian and Western educational systems.

Community

DPSIS fosters a vibrant and inclusive community, embracing diversity and promoting social integration among students, parents, and staff. The school organizes various cultural and community events, such as annual funfairs and inter-house competitions, to encourage active participation and strengthen bonds within the community. These events provide opportunities for students to showcase their talents, celebrate cultural heritage, and engage in collaborative activities that enrich their educational experience.

Parent-Teacher Association

DPS highly values parental involvement and maintains open channels of communication between parents and educators. Parents are encouraged to participate in school events, workshops, and meetings to stay engaged with their children's education and contribute to the school community. This collaborative approach ensures that parents have a voice in school initiatives and fosters a supportive environment for students' academic and personal growth.
