FIS is a Preparatory Education Institution established in 2000 to prepare students for Singapore's GCE O-Level Examinations and to position them for university study. The school emphasizes academic success and exposure, with the Principal, Form Teachers, Student Mentors, and Course Consultants actively involved in each student's journey. It operates in English and maintains an English-speaking environment with international staff to support entry to overseas universities. The school day runs from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM intervention to reinforce learning. In 2024, 90.84% of graduates received unconditional offers from QS Top 50 universities and 88.1% from QS Top 30.
Exposure is a core part of the school's approach; students partake in social causes to broaden horizons. FIS students participate in many holistic programs. The school combines academic success with social responsibility.
There are dedicated Form Teachers who act as Student Mentors and monitor students' progress and daily lives. The University Guidance Counselling Team provides college admissions guidance. University admission results are strong, with high percentages of graduates receiving offers from top universities. The mission includes helping students secure entry to local tertiary institutions and world-renowned universities.
The school day runs 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; there is a 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM intervention for targeted support. FIS offers 24/7 supervised school-sanctioned hostels with facilities such as a gym, swimming pool, and reading lounge. The Singapore campus is located at 8 Claymore Hill
Furen International School offers preparatory courses for various examinations, including the Cambridge IGCSE, Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level, CIE A-Level, and Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level, catering to students aged 11 and above.
