Josiah Montessori was started in March 1997 by three engineers who wanted a better preschool option for their toddlers. The Directors Wendy Tan and Lena Lim run the school, which operates under Josiah Associates Pte Ltd. The Josiah network has grown beyond its first centre to include multiple centres across Singapore, including Suntec City Mall, Changi Business Park, Aperia, Pasir Ris, Tampines Mart, and Raffles Place. The Josiah Way guides its pedagogy, rooted in Montessori principles and a bilingual approach.
The Josiah community emphasises parental engagement and regular updates about children's learning. The Josiah Story describes partnership with parents as central to raising champions and notes the logo as a symbol of motherly care and parent partnership.
