Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Josiah Montessori was founded in March 1997 by three engineers who sought to combine Montessori education with parental partnership. The founders established a model that centers motherly care and continuous parental engagement as core principles of learning. The Tampines Mart campus was added to the Josiah network in 2014 to serve families in Tampines, located at Block 5, Tampines Street 32,

02-01, Tampines Mart. The Josiah brand is operated by Josiah Associates Pte Ltd, reflecting its private, locally owned structure.

Community

Josiah Montessori fosters a family-oriented community across its Singapore campuses. Parents are engaged through continuous parental engagement, with regular updates about their children's learning. The Tampines Mart campus participates in events and activities that involve families, including Open House sessions and the Josiah Children's Festival. The network emphasizes bilingual learning through English and Mandarin, including Chinese speech and drama as part of daily practice.

Parent-Teacher Association

Public materials do not describe a formal Parent Teacher Association for Josiah Montessori Tampines Mart. Parental involvement is supported through continuous parental engagement, with regular updates for families. The Josiah network has hosted events such as Open House and the Josiah Children's Festival that involve families in school life. Centre tours and information sessions are offered to parents to learn about the Josiah Way.
