Little Seeds Preschool was formed in 2019 when several long-established Anglican preschools, including Ascension Kindergarten, came together under the umbrella of Anglican Preschool Services. The new network was created to unify resources, strengthen curriculum delivery, and uphold Christian values across the centres. At the Ascension site, the former Ascension Kindergarten continued under the Little Seeds Preschool name, retaining its link to the Church of the Ascension while joining the wider community of faith-based preschools.
The preschool community is closely connected to families and the local church network. Chaplains and pastoral staff are active in each centre, leading chapel assemblies for children, prayer sessions for staff, and outreach events that involve parents. The school also shares resources for family life, such as suggested weekend activities, and organises centre-level events like open houses and guided tours, which give families opportunities to meet teachers and experience the learning environment together.
Little Seeds Preschool – Ascension does not publicly describe a formal Parent Teacher Association. However, parents are regularly engaged through open houses, family events, and the pastoral care programme led by the chaplain. These opportunities allow parents to participate in their child’s school life, give feedback, and strengthen connections with teachers and school leaders.
Little Seeds Preschool – Ascension is located in Potong Pasir, just a five-minute walk from Potong Pasir MRT through the surrounding HDB blocks. The preschool offers a values-based curriculum rooted in Christian principles, with a strong focus on moral and character education. Its programmes are inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and include Values Matter, Phonics & Reading (English), Chinese thematic learning, Math “Key to Learning,” and Sensory Play & Inquiry. The centre caters to children aged 18 months to 6 years and provides multiple play spaces, including two outdoor playgrounds and an indoor playground that allows for year-round play.
