The site was formerly known as Calvary Baptist Kindergarten, and in 2019 the centre became part of Anglican Preschool Services under the Little Seeds Preschool name. The change brought the site into a wider network of faith-based preschools with shared oversight and resources. The centre retains its identity as part of Calvary Baptist Church (including a chapel component) and continues to deliver Christian values as part of its operations.
Children and families participate in events such as Open Houses and special showcases (e.g. art, concerts, project displays). Community involvement also includes outreach and service through network initiatives such as SSDB (Start Small, Dream Big). The centre’s environment promotes engagement through regular parent-teacher interactions and opportunities for parents to visit, observe, and be involved in child learning experiences.
The centre does not publicly describe a formal Parent Teacher Association. However, parents are regularly engaged through open houses, family events, and the pastoral care programme led by the chaplain. These opportunities allow parents to participate in their child’s school life, give feedback, and strengthen connections with teachers and school leaders.
Little Seeds Preschool – Calvary Baptist Church is located within the church compound at 48 Wan Tho Avenue, Singapore, about a 12-minute walk from Potong Pasir MRT. Housed in a leafy setting, the centre features a spacious playground, sandpit, water-play areas, an edible garden and multipurpose hall that support outdoor and nature-based learning. The preschool offers full-day and half-day programmes for children from Playgroup through Kindergarten 2 (approximately 18 months to 6 years old), with meals and breaks included. The curriculum is faith-based under Christian values, with programmes like “Values Matter,” phonics & literacy in English, Chinese thematic learning, numeracy, sensory play & inquiry, and structured motor skills development.
