Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Established in 2017 by the EtonHouse International Education Group, Middleton International School was founded with the vision of delivering high-quality, affordable international education with a strong focus on student wellbeing. In 2018, the Tampines campus opened, providing a seamless pathway from Nursery through Grade 12.

Community

Middleton International School's Tampines campus fosters a diverse and inclusive community, welcoming students from over 50 nationalities. To ensure this diversity is maintained, the school implements a 30% nationality cap, allowing students to learn in a truly international environment where no single culture dominates. This rich mix of backgrounds is celebrated through cultural events such as International Day, where students and staff showcase their heritage through performances and student-led exhibitions, promoting unity and cultural appreciation. Beyond the classroom, the school offers a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities, including sports, arts, and clubs, that encourage students to explore their interests while building strong community bonds.

Parent-Teacher Association

Middleton has a Community Support Group which is comprised of parents and staff that meets regularly to plan school events, share insights and look at new initives. The school places strong emphasis on collaboration between parents and staff. Parents value the open communication with MIS, appreciating the genuine partnership that supports their children’s growth and development. Through regular engagement and involvement in school events, parents remain integral partners in their children’s educational journey, helping to foster a supportive and connected school community.

We believe that happy, confident learners are best positioned to succeed, which is why our programmes nurture both academic excellence and social-emotional growth. Serving children aged 3+ to 18, Middleton provides a seamless journey from pre-school to pre-university that is high-quality, affordable, and internationally recognised. As part of the EtonHouse International Education Group, Middleton draws on over three decades of expertise in delivering innovative, inquiry-based education. In the early and primary years, our approach builds curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking, while the Cambridge IGCSE and International A-Levels prepare students for entry to top universities worldwide. Alongside rigorous academics, students benefit from wellbeing initiatives, co-curricular opportunities, leadership pathways, and community service, developing resilience, empathy, and a sense of responsibility.
