San Yu Adventist School (SYAS) offers a curriculum aligned with Singapore's Ministry of Education standards. At the primary level (Primary 1 to 6), students study English Language, Chinese Language, Mathematics, Science (from Primary 3), Bible Knowledge, Social Studies, Health Education, Art and Craft, Physical Education, Music Appreciation, and Computer Education (from Primary 3). Eligible Primary 6 students sit for the national Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE). At the secondary level (Secondary 1 to 4), the Express Stream includes English Language, Chinese Language, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Literature in English, Bible Knowledge, and Computer Education. Secondary 3 and 4 students prepare for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (GCE O-Level) examinations.

SYAS places a strong emphasis on the social and emotional well-being of its students. The school provides pastoral care and counseling services through a dedicated chaplain and school counselor. The chaplain oversees spiritual welfare by offering morning devotions, chapel worship, Bible study, and spiritual counseling. While SYAS is not a specialist SEN institution, it supports students with special educational needs by offering tailored assistance to help them overcome challenges affecting their schoolwork. Complete the Entrance Test: All applicants must take entrance tests in Mathematics and English Language. A minimum of 90% attendance and good conduct in previous schooling are also required.

Participate in an Interview: After successfully passing the entrance tests, applicants and their appointed guardians must attend an interview conducted by the Registrar or authorized staff.

Attend Pre-Course Counseling and Student Orientation: Applicants and their guardians must attend pre-course counseling and student orientation sessions. These sessions provide essential information about SYAS's policies, culture, and expectations, ensuring a smooth transition for the student.

Finalize Enrollment: Upon successful completion of the interview and orientation, finalize the enrollment by signing the student contract and settling any necessary fees.

SYAS offers Scholarship Awards to recognize and reward top existing students who have achieved excellence both academically and in co-curricular activities. Criteria for these awards include outstanding performance in academics, character, and attendance.

SYAS maintains a waiting list that becomes active during the second and third registration periods, but only when vacancies have been fully filled. Placement on the waiting list is contingent upon meeting all admission requirements and the availability of space.
