Already occurred events include September 2 kickoff with students; September 21 alumni reunion; October 19 academy for parents on parenting in the age of anxiety and depression—Challanges and Opportunities; October 26–29 following in the footsteps of C.S. Mission: We educate and lead every student to be able to think creatively and critically, to take responsibility for themselves, others, and the world, and to have the ability to create communities in the spirit of Christian biblical values. Vision: C. S. Lewis Bilingual High School fosters holistic growth. It is a place aimed at learning, cultivating thinking, innovation, intentional challenge, and support. We are people who know each other, engage in dialogue, and enjoy collaboration. In serving our surroundings and country, we discover our personal missions as part of a larger story. The school aims to be a safe space in which diversity is welcome. Together with the American writer Scott Peck we understand community to be a group of people that, regardless of their different world views or social backgrounds, are able to accept and overcome their differences, and are capable of meaningful communication and cooperation toward a common goal in a safe space.
C.S. Lewis Bilingual High School offers a five-year bilingual program for students aged 13 to 18, taught in English and Slovak. The curriculum supports studying core subjects in English while meeting Slovak graduation requirements and earning language certificates recognised in the EU/USA. Freshman English totals 13 hours weekly, with intensive language preparation and courses in English, Literature and Writing; a year-end Summer Semester Test accounts for 30% of the English grade. From Sophomore to Super Senior, English instruction is reduced to 4–6 hours weekly; Sophomore Year includes English and American Literature and an end-of-semester English project. Junior Year adds British Literature and an Aptis test at year end. Senior Year focuses on maturita preparation with Ready for C1 Advanced, and graduates reach C1 English with state-language exams optionally in cooperation with the Language School at Palisády 38. The school marks its 20th anniversary with Eagle & Child project promoting entrepreneurship.
