Academic and Intellectual

Primary Level lasts five years and is delivered in two language sections, English instruction and Slovene instruction. The first foreign language is taught from Year 1, and students may choose between English, German and French; Slovene is taught as an additional subject. The Secondary Level spans seven years and ends with the European Baccalaureate. The Secondary Level is taught in two language sections, Slovene and English; from S1 students study additional foreign languages, and from S3 some subjects are taught in the student's chosen first foreign language.

Arts and Creative

The Arts are part of the Primary Level curriculum; the European School music curriculum emphasizes four areas: cultural understanding, critical understanding, creativity, and communication. In the Secondary Level, Creative Subjects are available as part of the curriculum.

Cultural and Language

A crucial aspect of preparing children for the modern globalized world is giving them tools to communicate within and across cultural and linguistic barriers. Social and Hobbies

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Early Education focuses on health, hygiene, safety and living in a community. The Early Education curriculum includes Me and My Body, Me as a Person, Me and the Others, and Me and the World to develop linguistic, cognitive and social skills. Physical Education is a core part of the program, and Recreation follows lunch each day. There is a morning snack and the option of lunch for students.
