Debate Team provides an after-school forum for argumentation, research, and public speaking. Chess is available as an after-school activity to develop strategic thinking and problem-solving. Computer Science is delivered from Year 1 onward, with IGCSE in Year 10–11 and International A-Levels in Year 12–13, focusing on programming, algorithms, computer systems, cybersecurity, and AI. The IGCSE and A-Level pathways deliver internationally recognised qualifications that support further study and global opportunities.
Art and Baking are offered as after-school activities. Photography and Film are also available after school. The School Library offers over 1,000 books in English, with additional titles in Italian and Slovene to support multilingual learners and celebrate the school's diverse community.
Slovene is taught as a native language with a full curriculum aligned to the Slovene national programme; Slovene as a Second Language is provided with structured support. Italian is taught as a native language and as a second language, following Italian national guidelines, with internal CEFR-aligned exams conducted in collaboration with NISTA. The language programme emphasises multilingualism across English, Slovene, and Italian to prepare students for life in a bilingual region.
After-school activities include Art, Baking, Chess, Photography, Cross Country Running, Basketball, Eco-Gardening, Film, and Yoga. These clubs provide opportunities for personal interest development, teamwork, and social engagement. The programme encourages creative expression, physical activity, and social collaboration through a diverse range of clubs.
Green Ambassador Program: by the end of 2026, students and staff will volunteer to lead sustainability projects and promote eco-friendly practices, fostering environmental awareness and community involvement.
Career guidance is provided in the final two years, including university advice, CV workshops, and university application sessions. A University Guidance program supports students through identifying universities internationally and preparing applications with mentors. The school maintains a University Advisor to guide students through higher education decisions.
Physical Education is taught weekly, with dedicated PE lessons in the final two years. After-school activities include Cross Country Running, Basketball, and Yoga to promote fitness and well-being. Afterschool Care for Primary Students includes swimming sessions, providing supervised physical activity and healthy routines after the school day.
Koper International School offers a K–12 British international education in Slovenia, delivering the British National Curriculum with Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge A Levels alongside Pearson Edexcel IGCSE.
