History

Founded in December 1899 following a bequest by Friedrich Klinkenberg in 1897 for the establishment of a German Protestant congregational school. The first school building opened in 1900. The Klinkenberg Foundation continues to support the school to this day. Now located on a park-like campus in The Willows, Pretoria.

Community

Vibrant bilingual community connecting German expatriate families with local South African families. Strong ties to German institutions and partnerships.

Active parent community. Annual general meetings held regularly.

Deutsche Internationale Schule Pretoria (DSP) is a co-educational German-English bilingual day school in The Willows, Pretoria, founded in 1899.
