Star College Pretoria is an independent, English-medium school in Equestria, Pretoria (25 Meadow Avenue) established by the Horizon Educational Trust. It offers early learning (Grade RR — age 4 turning 5 — and Grade R — age 5 turning 6), primary (Grades 1–7) and high school (Grades 8–12). The school follows the South African CAPS curriculum while preparing Grade 12 learners for the Independent Examinations administered by the IEB. All subjects except additional languages are taught in English; First Additional Language options in the GET phase include Afrikaans, IsiZulu or Sepedi, and in the FET phase Afrikaans or Sepedi; the GET programme also lists Turkish and digital-technology (coding). The school emphasises mathematics, science and computer technology, provides free after-school and Saturday tuition and runs national and international Olympiad training and project/exhibition programmes (including robotics and science fairs). Extramural activities listed include basketball, soccer, cricket, tennis, netball and chess.
