The school has a house system with four houses: Amethyst, Garnet, Sapphire, and Topaz. House and Games Captains are named for each house to lead activities and competitions.
The school is governed by a Board of Directors. The Chairman is Dr. Malith Fernando, and the Founder Principal & Director is Dr. Goolbai Gunasekara. Past chairs include Late Mr. W.P. Perera (Founder Chairman, 1989–April 2012) and Late Mrs. Nalangi Perera (Chairperson, July 2012–June 2017).
Asian International School in Sri Lanka offers a British curriculum for ages 2 to 17, guiding students to Pearson Edexcel IGCSE and International A Levels.
