The Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum is used as the introduction to secondary education, and all students follow a set Cambridge program. English, Mathematics and Science are core subjects. English is taught with options for First Language, Literature, or English as a Second Language. In IGCSE, English is a mandatory subject (First Language/Literature or English as Second Language), and Cambridge Checkpoints assess English along with other subjects.
Galle International College is the first Cambridge International School in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka and is Cambridge Accredited. The school serves ages 2 to 18, with two campuses: Little Kids (2–10) and Big Kids (10–18) at 12 Hirimbura Cross Road, Galle. The curriculum follows the English National Curriculum and Cambridge Assessment International Education, delivering Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE and International A Levels. It operates as an Associate School for Cambridge Examinations and provides Cambridge Checkpoints at the end of Lower Secondary. The campus emphasizes digital technologies, with projectors in every classroom and access to laptops and tablets. After-school activities run from 2:00 pm; some clubs are free and finish by 3:00 pm, with others offered for a term-based fee.
