Lego Robotics Club provides hands-on experience for MYP students to design, build, and program their own robots. It develops problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork, and requires no prior experience. The club meets after school on Mondays. Homework Club offers a quiet, supportive space for PYP and MYP students to focus on assignments and develop independent study skills; it meets weekly.
The Drama Club, Film Club, School Band, and School Choir provide arts and creative outlets. Drama Club rehearses after school and is involved in a musical production. The Film Club offers screenings of classic films and discussions about cinema. The School Band rehearses weekly and performs at Lucia, and the School Choir performs at Lucia and other events.
Book Bowl is a literature competition where students test their knowledge of assigned books. After the Iris Book Award, students who have read all 12 selected books compete against peers from other European schools. Nordic Network connects BISM with international schools in the Nordic and Baltic regions and offers opportunities to participate in the Nordic Network Games.
Social and hobby activities include after-school clubs and events that help students connect with peers and pursue interests beyond the classroom. The program fosters teamwork and social skills through collaborative projects and school-wide events. These activities contribute to a sense of belonging within the BISM community.
Student Council representatives from each class lead school life and organize events. They plan and run major events such as Halloween Disco, Book Week, and Valentine's Day celebrations. This involvement fosters community spirit and gives students opportunities to contribute to the school.
The Student Councils provide leadership opportunities for PYP and MYP students. Each class selects two representatives to advocate for student voices and contribute to school events. These roles help students develop leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Outdoor Education Program offers all MYP students a unique opportunity to explore nature and develop essential life skills through hands-on experiences. Activities include hiking, camping trips, and canoeing adventures, building teamwork and resilience and environmental stewardship. Trips are led by experienced staff in a safe, enriching environment. These experiences support physical and mental wellbeing.
